Ljiljana Dukic, a fearless patriot and protector of the underprivileged, is a driven changemaker with a passion for making a difference. The seed for her humanitarian journey was planted during travels through Kosovo, where she witnessed the challenges faced by Serbian families living in difficult circumstances. Fueled by a relentless and insatiable desire to help her fellow countrymen, she returned to the US determined to take action.

 

Unyielding in her determination, Ljiljana reached out to numerous organizations seeking assistance for the families she had encountered. When met with reluctance, she refused to accept defeat. Instead, she turned her upcoming birthday into a catalyst for change, organizing instead a benefit night in her home. The event was a resounding success, with generous donations pouring in. The funds raised were promptly sent to build an addition to the needy family`s home.

 

It was on this transformative night that like-minded women came together, echoing the sentiment of unity and empowerment. To quote our president Dr. Mirela Savcic, “everything is possible when women unite!”

Though retired, Ljiljana continues to inspire and advocate for positive change, embodying the spirit of resilience and compassion.
